Greetings Cherry community,

It has been a very busy and productive couple of months for Cherry, and in this newsletter, we will focus on the continued progress of the core Cherry Project.

The most recent milestone reached by the project is the launch of EVM compatibility on the Cherry testnet, which will soon be deployed on mainnet when the testing phase is over.

This continues the development of Cherry into a competitive, business-ready environment that expands the possibilities of smart contracts and decentralized file storage, including the recently-achieved Layer Zero functionality.

Read on to find out more about where Cherry is headed…

Core Updates:

EVM compatibility is a big step forward for Cherry:

  • EVM compatibility allows developers working in the Ethereum environment to integrate with the core functionality of Cherry seamlessly. Ethereum is the industry leader in the kinds of dApps that stand to benefit most from what Cherry provides, an advanced way to leverage decentralized file storage and smart contracts, so EVM compatibility will vastly expand Cherry’s addressable market.
  • In our latest Project Diary update, we outlined the outcomes and future targets of the dev team, which we hope put Cherry in a position to be used by builders in diverse sectors of web3.
  • Very soon, we will announce the details of our EVM parachain bug bounty, whereby community members can get rewards for helping to stress test the EVM component before its imminent deployment on the Cherry Mainnet.

Business News:

Here are just some of the ongoing activities of the Cherry Team in support of the development progress that has been achieved:

  • Two more teams recently joined the Cherry Validator Set. More validators processing activity on the Cherry Network makes it more robust and decentralized, core principles of the Cherry Vision.
  • Despite continued turbulence in the web3 industry, Cherry remains on solid footing regarding our business partnerships and project treasury. But we are always analyzing how best to capitalize on the landscape in front of us. In the coming days, our founders will share their thoughts in a strategy blog outlining the way forward.
  • With the pieces in place for continued technical success, the team will be putting added focus on the expansion of business development and the Cherry community. Expect a significant ramp-up in partnerships, ecosystem projects, and community activity throughout the summer. Next week our Cherry Merch store launches, where you can get your hands on cool Cherry gear.

Looking forward to sharing continued progress with you in the near future,

The Cherry Team🍒
